Dr. Julia Sepulveda Diaz obtained a Chemical Engineering degree, followed by a MSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology, the latter specialized in glycobiology and molecular mechanisms in Alzheimer's disease. She did a 4.5-year postdoctoral appointment at the Brain and Spine Institute in Paris, France, working in neuroinflammation, protein aggregation, drug screening and neurodegenerative diseases. She is CEO of the Microfluidics Innovation Center (MIC), where she leads a team composed of 14 industrial researchers focused on research and innovation. Today, the MIC participates in 18 European projects with highly inter-sectorial activities and collaborations.
